Sterckshoft 2008

[1 2 3]

And on to Antwerpen for the wonderful authenticity, medieval stalls, kooky bar and a very, very odd battle indeed (water balloons from a treb anyone?!)!! There are several pictures stolen from other sites and I do apologise but I am struggling with a new bit of software and lost track of what came from where! If you want you name associated, please email me via the contacts page and I shall add a credit and link to you site!

Where to begin? Why, with eternally youthful Grantus of course!! Rumour has it he keeps an 18 foot dead lizard in this new back basket. "18 foot," you say. Well, it is folded very, very small. And what's that I hear? Spain with never win to Euro 2008 final against Germany? Rubbish! Germany rule!! Oh, and nice lantern Grant but I can't figure out how you are holding it without holding that red "thing" as well...! Plus, where is your hat? Tsk! Amaturs!! AGH!! No spell check! Now you'll all find out have bad my speeling is...!! Oh..... Yes. OK. Sorry.

Feeling hungry? Forgot your weekend food? Bit of a dick? Well, this is the stall for you! Selling tasty authentic goodies (they are not orange carrots BTW (hey owner, that's 20 Euros you owe me!!). Of course, this being a "bizaare" continental Europe type rather than decent honest Island Europe type (ie British God damn it!), I can't say if they didn't have orange carrots in 14, 14, 14,,, erm, 14 blah blah. There. I hope my case is proven m'lud!

Gunnes!!! Gunnes!! Gunnnnnnnnnnnness!! Gimmie, gimmie!! Look at their loveliness!! In fact, look at the hanging at the back of the tent!! Even that has gunnes and the men on it are saying, "Look at my gunne!" and the other guy is saying, "yes, I see you gunne and it is a proud gunne, but look at my gunne!", and the first guy says "yes, that is a big gunne, but look at their gunne!", and the second guy would say, "oh yes, that is a big gunne! I feel rarther foolish now with my gunne talk", and quoth the first, "why is that oh number 2", and number 2 would say, " well, their gunne is really quite big and now I look at it, in this light, my gunne is really rather quite small...". "Well my gunne!!" etc etc etc! Gunner huh?! Same world, different planet!

More gunnes!!! But actually interesting is a double-hanging for breech canisters. I wonder if this type of hanging method was used? Illustrations on a postcard.

All hail one of the most wonderful and delightful places in the world. Mr Beeckman's Deli just outside teh Sterckshoft event. Even open o a Sunday it was the source of all our food for the weekend and it was most wonderful!!
