Angelo
Battenham-Mills
(John Swayn junior)
Angelo is the Oxfords battering ram of a man, and has recently
transferred from being an archer, to being a man-at-arms. His weapon of
choice is a bastard sword.
John Swayn junior is not listed in Sir John de Vere's will,
although his father (of the same name) was listed as a beneficiary. It was
not unusual for family to name their heirs after themselves (the 12th till
16th Earls of Oxford were all called John!) and indeed in Sir John's will
are listed Thomas Tey senior, and Thomas Tey junior, each relieving 53
shillings and 4 pence.
