Charlie Stonebridge
(Robert Drury)
Charlie has been re-enacting for several years and is still as
impressively imposing as ever. He was given a glaive by the Household for
his 18th birthday and it is his preferred weapon on the field.
Robert Drury was an executer of Sir John's will, and he fought
along side him during the Blackheath rebellion. His courage during this
event resulted in his being knighted in 1497. he was born in 1456 and died
1535 and is buried in St Mary's Church, Bury St Edmunds. |
