Grant Fettis
(Sir Richard de Vere)
Grant has had two stints with medieval re-enactment. Initially with
the British Plate Armour Society (see links) and more recently with the
Oxfords within the Medieval Siege Society. He fights with the trinity of
weapons, sword, bill or pole-arm and is equally happy with each.
Sir Richard de Vere was born around 1448 and was a middle child between Sir John, Sir Thomas
and Sir George. He married Margaret Percy around 1463 but did not sire any
heirs. He is recorded as having fought during the Wars of the Roses. |
