John Battenham-Mills
(John Swayn)
John has been partaking the arching of medieval events and battle
for several years. He is the father of two of the Oxford family, and the
husband of Mickey.
John Swayn is listed in Sir John de Vere's will as receiving 40
shillings and 10 pence. We have taken some artistic license and
presume that he is a local man to Hedingham and skilled in archery, thus
is a retainer in de Vere's retinue.
