Paul Surita
(Thomas Lovell)

Paul has been re-enacting for several years and has, with his wife Sue, a very splendid tent! He often commands a line in the Oxford block and fights with either a pole-axe or sword.

Thomas Lovell was born in 1453 and fought alongside de Vere at Bosworth and Stoke. He was knighted in 1487 and became a Knight of the Garter in 1498. He became the Chancellor of the Exchequer for Life in 1483, and speaker of the House Commons in 1486.  He was an executor of Sir John's will, and died in 1524. He is buried at the Nunnery of Halliwell near Enfield.
