Simon Blackwell
(Sir George de Vere)
Simon has been re-enacting for several years and comes from a
gaming background. Equally at home with sword and dagger, or sword and
buckler, his 6' frame cuts a mean figure of the battle field and he is oft
pushed to the fore!
Sir George de Vere was the 3rd brother descending from the
12th Earl of Oxford. He was the only one to have had children with his
wife, Margaret Stafford. His son would eventually become
the 14th Earl of Oxford. He died around 1503. |
