Oxford Household News

3 March 2010 - A Sad Day for Oxfords and Everyone
We are very sorry to hear that Micky, a dedicated Oxford for several years, passed away yesterday evening. She was always a joyous presence at events and famous for cooking her magnificent boozy-brews (mainly cider-based!) at events which was guaranteed wiped out the Oxford attendance at the morning battle. She will be very much missed by us all and our thoughts are with John, Cheri, Angelo and Alex.

7 December 2009 - Oxford Xmas outing decided to be New Year Spectacular!
Due to lack of time and stressful times at work it has been decided that the Oxford Household Xmas outing this year be a New Year's day out instead. Indeed, this isn't the first time the Household has had their knees up after the festive season. Potential dates will be sent to all members for voting soon.

31 August 2009 - Oxfords and Troope bag Third place in Herstmonceux LH Competition!
The Oxfords were delighted with their third place award in the annual Herstmonceux Living History Competition. Having been placed in an extremely challenging position that took out several of the standard displays, the power house that is the Oxford kitchen pulled in those valuable points and bagging the prestigous third place spot was a great success! Huzzah for the Oxford kitchen!!

27 July 2009 - The Second Honorary Oxford named at Azincourt
After untold years of there being just a single solitary Honorary Oxford, there is now a companion to join this most illustrious group. Andrew Rice's service in the aid of a fallen Oxford at last year's Azincourt was above and beyond the call of duty and most certainly the actions of a heroic Oxford type (and indeed he is already an Fed Oxford!). Therfore, we were most pleased to present to Andrew at Azincourt this year, a madder-dyed bend with a hand painted Oxford Boar on the front. Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!
